Choir club has an amazing time in the Birmingham Resorts World Arena performing with 5000 other children in the world's largest children's choir concert. Young Voices what an experience!

Signs of spring are popping up all over the village. Today children participated in the big garden birdwatch today. What a wonderful location to have a school right on the Cotswold way.

Hazel class had a wonderful time at Bristol Aquarium Bristol Aquarium They were exploring facts about under the sea creatures linked to their class topic. 🐟🪼🐠🐡🦈

🟢 We had some great entries in the "Make SID smile" poster competition. Children have learnt about the Speed Indicator Device (SID) that smiles green when vehicles are travelling under the speed limit. Thank you to SGC road safety team for the goodie bag prizes 🟢

Hazel class had a treat today as they learnt about how one of their daddies fixes fire engines as part of their topic "on the move"

Here at Old Sodbury School we try and get outside as much as we can. Chestnut class are having a Maths lesson whilst enjoying the glorious sunshine today.

KS2 had a fantastic trip all the way to Woking to see the Wizard of Oz live on stage in preparation for our summer spectacular. Experiences like this are so important for our children and is an example of the enrichment experiences that Ofsted speak so highly of in our inspection

Today Sycamore & Oak celebrated Timestables Rockstars day with amazing rockstars fancy dress and class timestable competitions! @timestablerockstars

Hazel and Chestnut celebrated everything maths. Including Timestable Rockstars, Numbots and Numberblocks. We have had a fantastic day enjoying maths games and mini competitions.

Congratulations to our Year 5s on completing their 6 week mini police course. Recruits successfully "passed out" with their certificates and badges.👮👮‍♀️🚔

On Monday Sycamore and Oak class had their annual fire day. They cooked bread twists (Y3/4), sausage, beans and bread (Y5/6) all on their own fires. And we all made s'more! We learnt the best ways to build a fire and all about fire safety.

On Tuesday, Hazel and Chestnut class had their annual fire day. We all build our own small fires and learnt about the importance of fire safety. We then cooked our own s'mores and Chestnut cooked chocolate bananas. We had so much fun, even despite a little rain and wind.

It looks like Scarecrow has been in the hall looking for its brain....Wizard of Oz is coming Monday and we can't wait!!!! 🟡🧱🛣️

After two incredible performances of the west end stage show of The Wizard of Oz yesterday, we say a sad farewell to our Year 6s today and wish everyone a fabulous summer.
