The govt's redress scheme for Mother and Baby Home survivors is deeply unjust. The special advocate for the survivors has said that it has created "a hierarchy of suffering." There is no justification for refusing redress to so many children, based on arbitrary restrictions.

This weekend, tens of thousands of people will march through Dublin for Pride. But it is more than a party โ€“ it is a protest. All over the world, LGBTQ+ people still do not have equal rights. This Pride, we stand in solidarity with them.

Today Group Leaders of the Dublin City Progresive Alliance wrote to The Labour Party Ireland and Green Party Ireland councillors in Dublin City to ask the basic question, which side are you on? Will it be another FG Lord Mayor and FF deputy or a progressive alternative to challenge the government?

The Central Bank of Ireland could be very busy with cases unless it stops fundraising for apartheid Israel's genocide of Palestinians. #GazaGenocide

This week, the govt's version of the Occupied Territories Bill was approved by Cabinet. But it does not include services โ€“ which make up 80% of Ireland's trade with the occupied territories. We will continue to fight for the inclusion of services in this vital Bill.

The Govt has refused to act to stop the Central Bank facilitating the sale of Israeli war bonds. If the Govt refuses to act, others have to. Gary Gannon TD will take a High Court case to stop this complicity in genocide, if the Central Bank doesnโ€™t stop this practice.

It's like a pantomine watching FF and FG scramble over third level fee increase. But it is not one bit funny, because all it has done is cause unnecessary stress and worry for students and their families.

A HSE review has shown over-reliance on in- and out-sourcing. Despite huge sums of public money involved, proper oversight has been severely lacking, leading to shocking abuses of the National Treatment Purchase Fund. We need to end this over-reliance on outsourcing in the HSE.

There it is in black and white. We'll only do the right thing, we'll only fulfill our obligations under the ICJ as long as it doesn't cost us anything If your principles cost you nothing they're not principles, they're just the path of least resistance rte.ie/news/2025/0704โ€ฆ

The government must include services in its new Occupied Territories Bill. The people demand it, the moment demands it, humanity demands it. We cannot accept no sanctions on Israel for its genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people.
