Texas has released another bill, SB250, that would medically detransition all trans youth. It would ban gender affirming care for them and also remove liability insurance for doctors in the state. Trans youth, many of whom are stealth, would be forced through the wrong puberty.

We need to pass legislation to protect trans youth. That’s why I’ve introduced SB4245 to make Illinois a sanctuary state by protecting trans Americans who’ve had their rights violated by states such as Texas and Florida. It’s time to take action to protect LGBTQ+ communities.
