Today we said goodbye to Anne Scargill. It was of course a day of sadness and tears. But we also smiled, laughed and were inspired as we shared memories of Anne as an activist but also as a person so full of fun and warmth. Anne was remarkable. I’m grateful to have known her.

Today, I joined a huge lobby of Parliament, led by disabled people, against the proposed cuts to disability support. I made clear once again: these cuts are cruel and unjustifiable and must be dropped. If the Government refuses to drop them, I will vote against them.

The Government's scrapping of the Winter Fuel Allowance was morally wrong and has been politically toxic. The Winter Fuel Allowance must now be fully restored and the Government must drop the proposed cuts to disability support. From my interview with Channel 4 News
