We have just moved to a new home. It's a pretty daunting experience. But after a number of recommendations we asked JFG Removals to pack and do the heavy work. They were fantastic. No losses. No breakages. All arrived intact. Friendly & helpful from beginning to end. Book them!

What is happening Bristol Temple Meads Trains late or cancelled. Departure platforms changing moment by moment. Crowds of people herded thro the underpass. A guard said ‘Don’t travel on Sunday’. I changed to National Express Clean peaceful & reliable. Time for the railways to learn.

On our Joyce tour we have visited many theatres with amazing technical staff. This week we hit Malvern Theatres where Will & Joe did an outstanding job in the Forum Theatre. Friendly creative & supportive. Cheryl Knight & I are always thankful for these often unsung heroes!

Just seen Lovestuck: The Musical Stratford East. A witty show, well directed, full of shameless jokes, and catchy songs under the excellent music direction of Jon Ranger. A great cast, clever ensemble playing and excellent story telling. This should have a transfer.

Ode to Joyce had the the most wonderful matinee Trinity Theatre Tunbridge Wells this afternoon. A hearty & appreciative audience despite the tennis final. Huge thanks to backstage star James Jenkins technical manager for lights sound & a beautiful piano & the exceptionally hospitable cafe staff.

I have just seen Calendar Girls Frinton Summer Theatre. Utterly amazing. The simplicity of one set,a fantastic MD & an incredible cast of connected story tellers- all heard clearly with beautifully enunciation and sung without mics - was pure magic. Good story telling always delights!
