I had five kids in three different classes today so sick that they couldn't stop coughing and could barely keep their heads up. Parents please don't send your sick kid to school. I don't deserve that and the other kids don't either.

Helen Bolton 🖤 Erin Overbey He’s feeling the sting, shame, the damaging destruction of his vote for Trump. I ask him..what was reprehensible about diversity, equity & inclusion? He has finally arrived at a state of deep reflection. We warned you abt Trump. He rejected what was obvious to many of us for yrs.

Watching Americans just get up and choose to live anywhere but then have a fucking meltdown about illegal immigrants taking up residency in the US will always blow my mind.

I was once serving a table full of Irish people and they heard me say my name was “Talley” and one asked “Is that your first name or last?” and I said “last” and they said “Where’d you get that good Irish last name from” and I said “slavery” and they reported me to to my manager

Yesterday was COVID Remembrance Day. Today I’m thinking about the 6 children in NYC who died of COVID in the last year. (3/6/24–3/7/25) A total of 64 pediatric deaths, just in this city. No one ever mentions them, or how to prevent more children from dying.

ppl saying “just use your PTO or sick days” when that’s not the point 😭 the point is the rigidity of everything and how inflexible society is and how work consumes most of our daily life

Today at school I learned that the more years your parents owned a home during your childhood, the less likely you are to get a cold *when directly exposed to a virus* The weight of this hasn’t fully hit yet

Wait was 2020 purposefully memory-holed bc our taxes were actually used to make our lives better, and those at the top don’t want us dwelling on that?! Like, they spent decades saying “what you want is impossible” only to enact it overnight But now everything’s been rolled back

People with pre-existing conditions are not expendable. The vulnerable are not expendable. The elderly are not expendable. Children are not expendable. The disabled are not expendable. Our value should never be tied to economic contribution.

SARS2 won't strengthen immunity. The immune system is like a fire alarm, designed to react during a fire (infection). If it tested too often, it doesn’t make the system better, stronger, or more efficient; it wears down the system, leading to malfunctions or even failure.

It's nice to be back on Twitter. With that being said, TMN is right. Many of the post-acute CoV deaths are not being counted. Just because SARS2 didn't kill you early on — doesn't mean it won't later. It's stealthy destruction starts in the acute phase and continues thereafter.
