Our Lady of Perpetual Help grieves the death of Pope Francis. Our liturgies today will be offered in his memory. As is Roman Tradition, we will toll the bells 88 times beginning at 8:00 am, one for each year of his life.

This morning Black and Purple bunting will be hung over the front door of the church until the election of the new pontiff.

Tomorrow, Wednesday May 7, our 8:30am Mass will be offered for the election of the new Roman Pontiff. The Mass is called "Pro Eligendo Romano Pontifice" and will be celebrated by Fr. Jeremiah Boland. Please join us for this special Mass.

Fr. Jeremiah Boland was interviewed by NBC Chicago about the election of the new pope. Segments of the interview will be played tomorrow, Wed. May 7, from 4:00am until 7:00am as the coverage of the election begins. Make sure to watch Channel 5 NBC Chicago news tomorrow morning.
