Today at 3PM! Don’t miss this #TissueTalk by my advisor Prof. Claudia Fischbach Claudia Fischbach on our lab’s engineered models of breast cancer. Thanks Gordana Vunjak-Novakovic of Columbia BME for organizing!

No doubt next year will be an exciting one with this thoughtful, creative, inspiring, and resilient group of Cornell BME students and post docs. Happy holidays from our lab to yours!

On a day for the history books, Amanda Gorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it."

Thrilled to welcome Dr. Lu Ling to our lab this week as a new Postdoctoral Fellow! Lu did outstanding PhD research with Claudia Fischbach Cornell BME on stromal remodeling of matrix in breast cancer. Excited to have her on our team!

We are at #BMES2022 this week in San Antonio! Make sure to catch our talks from Matt Whitman @_Shoolaa Brittany. Thanks to Biomedical Engineering Society and Cornell BME. Details are below 👇

Proudly presenting Dr Matt Tan - what a treat listening to his presentation about metabolic regulation of tumor invasion! Fischbach Lab Cornell BME will miss him a lot!!!

Thank you so much for the support Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester! This grant will help advance my research on breast cancer bone metastasis in the Fischbach Lab 🦴🤩!

Heterogeneity of cancer is linked to its physical properties! Glad to see Garrett Beeghly, PhD and @adshimpi1 Cornell BME review published. With contributions from our own @NCIPhySci patient advocate Bob Riter

Thrilled to share that Cornell BME Siyoung Choi and Matt Whitman's paper in Nature BME Nature Biomedical Engineering titled "Bone-matrix mineralization dampens integrin-mediated mechanosignalling and metastatic progression in breast cancer" is now published rdcu.be/diKuH!

Going to next week's Biomedical Engineering Society meeting in Seattle? Don't miss these Fischbach Lab Cornell BME presentations! Three of our outstanding Cornell Engineering undergraduate researchers will also present posters. Stay tuned! Brittany Garrett Beeghly, PhD Nicole Sempertegui Kylie Persson

Definitely had a great time showing everyone around the Fischbach Lab! I really appreciate the support from the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester for my work on breast cancer bone metastasis 🦴🙏🏼!

Ph.D. student Shola Onissema-Karimu @_shoolaa studies how drugs & stem cells affect bone during cancer treatment and hopes to mentor future scientists to make informed decisions about their career choices.
