Did I go to Edinburgh for an afternoon at the National Museums Scotland to see the Galloway Hoard, do some dissertation stuff, and see the Jarlshof bone pins (they have a special place in my heart)? Yes! Was it worth the total of 8 hours of travelling? Also yes. I just love museums!
