everyday i ask myself, why not?

i've  grown  a  mouth  so  sharp   and   cruel,  it's  all  that  i  can  give  to  you,  my  dear.   and   when  you  come  in  quick  to  steal  a  kiss,  my  teeth  will  only  cut  your  lips,  my  dear.

( slowly blinking its four eyes… small shake. ) wake up.

( sloooowly crawling toward the turtle, eyes wide. from her view, that must’ve seemed terrifying —— )

are you a human —? ( curious headtilt. )

… ( blink. baring canines again.. eugh, humans. )

( a mere small jolt at the hissing—! both sets of eyes blink one by one. …proceeding to approach some more, leaaaning in toward her. )

..are you onna those ‘ai’ things those other humans have been talkin’ about?

( narrowing optics… reaching and taking the turtle into its hand. blink. )

lab.. rat? you don’ have the features ov a rat —

( watching, ears peeking upward at the squeak — just.. holding her in its hand and staring. shifting to sit down. )

gimem a mo ment i cant /

( low trills began to emit from the creature, it almost sounded like growling.. it was growling. or at least it wasn’t trying to — ) rrrr..

( staaaaaare. )

( trills become more.. curiously toned? staaare. where’d she go?? she disappeared. )

( it’s starting to get nervous.. too many turtles. 💧 )

( still staring, bringing the turtle closer to its face, narrowing optics. ) turtle.

( haven’t even met, yet it doesn’t like the red turtle. or the blue one.. the blue one’s loud. )
