Another #SHARPFriday in-person meet-up! Marie Léger-St-Jean (marielsj.bsky.social) and I had a great catch-up on the way to #RSVP23 in Caen. Just got to my hotel after 2 days of traveling... trying to decide if I want to go out & get food or just collapse.
Wonderful first (content) day of #RSVP23. Thanks to Françoise Baillet and the other organizers/hosts! I was too engrossed in sessions to live-tweet, but I'm so thankful that others have been tweeting about panels I could not attend due to the space-time continuum.
Dr Dr. Alison Chapman's scintillating lecture on navigating the currents of digital Victorian periodical poetry. #WolffLecture #RSVP2023
Wonderful news at the Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) annual meeting: the naming of the Patrick Leary Field Development Grant! A wonderful tribute to Patrick Leary . As Fionnuala Dillane said, it's appropriate in that he's held space, in may ways, for others' research.
Wonderful pedagogy panel at #rsvp23 with Laura Vorachek, Iain Crawford and Leslee Thorne-Murphy, here shown sharing some of her favorite short stories from her digital anthology. vsfp.byu.edu Victorian Short Fiction Project
Excursion to le Mont-Saint-Michel to cap off a wonderful #rsvp23. Captured a snippet of what sounded like a mass — thinking of Dr. Marianne C.E. Gillion
Enjoying the symposium North American British Music Studies Association ! Some great papers. Two on "mainstream" as a concept, playing with the related metaphors, which also reminds me of all the Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) talks following "Charting the Golden Stream." To quote Gary Larson, my brain is full.
Because of a short break, I can do #SHARPFRIDAY today! Anyone want to say hi? Marie Léger-St-Jean (marielsj.bsky.social) Dr. Marianne C.E. Gillion Colleen Barrett ?
This year’s Colby Lecturer at #RSVP24 is Andrew Hobbs. Dr. Andrew Hobbs was the 2019 winner of the RSVP Colby Book Prize for his work, A Fleet Street in Every Town: The Provincial Press in England, 1855 - 1900.
