Hurray for snack time! At school children have a snack mid-morning, so why not do the same at home? Apples help with digestion, oranges are a great way of boosting the immune system, bananas are great for energy, and dried or pressed fruit make a healthy and tasty snack.

We are looking forward to welcoming all the children back into schools from 8th March. It will be brilliant to have everyone back! We will be serving the cooked school meals menu wherever possible in dining halls, or if not we'll bring cooked food to the classrooms on trays. 🍛🍴

Kumar has been busy honing his recipe for the regional finals in April/May before the national finals in summer. Kumar Murugan who works at Rufford Primary School is taking part in LACA’s School Chef of the Year competition this year. #schoolchefoftheyear 😀

This May we will be working with Quorn Foods UK to promote the Swap It campaign - we ask children to swap their usual meat meal for a vegetarian meal as a way of reducing our carbon footprint. Quorn's sustainability calculator will tell us how much carbon the swaps have saved 😀
