Eager to share that my ACS PRF UNI proposal (ACSPRF) was approved for funding (pending approval by the ACS Board of Directors)! It's my first external grant as a PI, which feels great! Excited to share the work that the Murphy Lab does on synthesizing porphyrin-like macrocycles!

Happy to share that I've received a grant through the Rural Reimagined program at Tennessee Tech to start work on developing sustainable compounds, and methods, for the degradation of ester-based #microplastics found along the Tennessee River!

I’m grateful to present at #ACSSpring2024 but I can’t share my work w/o recognizing that we are losing our fellow chemistry researchers, profs & students from the ongoing genocide in Palestine. I pray for scientists 1 day sharing their work at ACS from a safe & healed Palestine.

As the semester comes to a close I just want to give a major shoutout to all of the students who periodically nod while their professor is lecturing. Those students don’t realize how important their periodic head nods are.
