Put this #Brexit story about #EU into context. The UK's gross budget contribution would already have risen to £24bn now - something never mentioned when opinion is sought. If it were doubled as Spain request, the UK taxpayer would find themselves on the hook for £48bn a year

Interesting to note that when #Germany uses the international market to borrow money to rearm, the UK taxpayer gets a bill. UK 10y Gilt yields up 0.2% in the last day or so as a consequence of the German decision - doesn't sound like a lot until you recall the UK as a £2.7tn
