As postal workers take strike action today, worth remembering that last year Royal Mail made £758m in profit and handed out £400m to shareholders. When it came to the workers who created that profit, Royal Mail’s leadership pleaded poverty, offering a pay rise of just 2%.

“If they really are refugees, why don’t they have to stay in the first safe country they reach?” “Why don’t they just claim asylum in France?” Here is my answer, once & for all. To Jonathan Gullis, and to everyone else who ever wondered. #RefugeesWelcome

This is huge. We now have concrete proof that pure unadulterated corporate greed is the key driver behind the inflation crisis.

- water companies had no debt when they were privatised - since then they gave borrowed £53bn - much of this has been used to help pay £72bn in dividends - interest rates have now spiked - what could possible go wrong? ft.com/content/deaf19…

Water companies have collectively taken on £60bn debt, since they were privatised in 1989. Thames Water alone has debt of £14bn. They have just budgeted for fines and taken profit at the cost of polluting our rivers & seas. Privatisation has failed. Nationalise water now.

Are you the same guy who dropped his house building targets? Because I’m the guy who started building more council homes than the rest of England combined, exceeded your affordable homes targets & built more homes of any kind than since the 1930s. This is desperate nonsense.

Don't let people forget. The French government has repeatedly offered to build a refugee processing centre for the UK in France, they have offered to help fund it and to allow British immigration staff to work there. It would instantly solve the "boats" problem The UK refused.

No one elected Rishi Sunak. No one gave him a mandate to trash the UK's environmental policies. This is not democracy. It's coercion.

So we’re the shittest town in Britain with the lowest economic output… I know, why don’t we vote in Putin’s chief rimmer because that’ll sort everything out, right? Imagine being selected as the thickest place in Britain and then proving it
