So many wonderful people are presenting their excellent work at #Evol2019! I'm a little sad not to be there to catch up.... so you'll just have to hang out with each other so that I can be happy and a little jealous! @lifedispersing Mike Moore Genevieve G. Mount Max Lambert 🦫🦅🦌🐢🐸🏙💦

Also, the best, the most marvelous - the metamorphosing wood frog! Fair amount of variability in morph date this year. mb saw some morphing last week. This week I'm seeing lots of metamorphs but also tads.

Had a great time being a part of mb's symposium on amphibian phenology under climate change at #WCH9! Team Wood Frog represented A. Z. Andis Arietta, PhD David Skelly as well as some wonderful Ambystoma friends Tom Anderson katie o'donnell. Great talks by all involved!

In herpetology - "From 2010-2019 male authors outnumber female authors 2:1....Female authorship has doubled in the last thirty years" Absolutely LOVED this poster from some amazing women scientists at #WCH9. It's so important to look at these numbers and think about them.

A completely spectacular final keynote from Ana Carnaval Ana Carnaval - science on the Brazilian Atlantic forest and its frogs, the need for ecological data for models, and Bertha Lutz - Brazilian herpetologist, feminist, diplomat and lawyer. What a great way to conclude #WCH9

Thrilled to share our recent paper led by Cassandra Lis. This was her senior project... for HIGH SCHOOL! A true superstar. As someone who once spent a fair amount of time cleaning the tanks of some beloved and cantankerous snakes, Rhymes w Orange spoke to me this morning! Any other good puns, snake friends?

Too cool! Big awesome inverts moving under the ice is my favorite. In CA 8 years ago, I saw Belastomatids walking on the underside of the ice like this.

What are different universities doing about grad school admissions? Know someone wondering how things may be affected and surely they’re not alone. It’d be great if we could collect info about delaying decision deadlines/ doing interviews later/ other steps. Please reply/ RT

It's here 🙆‍♀️ Really excited to have this chapter out in the world! We used a target neighbor exp to look at effects of climate change induced phenology and body size shifts on wood frogs and toads. Shifts affected post-morph competition but unexpectedly. link.springer.com/article/10.100…
