This is amazing! One could deep dive into a **real** production renderer (besides cycles, luxcorerender and appleseed etc.) in the industry now.

The Realistic Graphics Lab is looking to recruit a *PhD student* and a *Research Engineer*. We develop algorithms and systems that invert the process of rendering to reconstruct realistic 3D worlds from images. A bit like "TensorFlow", but for physical simulations of light.

It is such a great honor to take Wojciech Jarosz 's Rendering Algorithms at Dartmouth and win the 1st prize (with @YunquanGu)! Cannot wait to get involved in some cool research projects on rendering afterwards!

Excited to be presenting our latest research at SIGGRAPH 2023 next Tuesday, where we’ll introduce a novel adaptive sampling method for rendering. We derive a method of estimating a neural network’s output variance, which we apply to the same denoiser used in popular...

With support for WebGPU, my tracer has also updated to version 2.0. lgltracer.com There is still a lot of work to do and things to learn. I will keep going👏👏👏 #webgpu #webgl #raytracing #threejs

I’m excited to announce our #SIGGRAPHAsia2025 paper on making the rendering of Gaussian process implicit surfaces (GPIS) practical: cs.dartmouth.edu/~wjarosz/publi…. We achieve this with a novel procedural noise formulation and by enabling next-event estimation for specular BRDFs. [1/7]
