To count this many seabirds takes serious people power 👊 – around 1,000 volunteers and professional surveyors visited over 15,000 breeding sites between 2015 and 2021

The release of #SeabirdsCount highlights the stark decline of UK seabirds over a decade. Let's acknowledge the dedicated efforts of those championing conservation and stand together in learning more about how to protect these incredible animals.

#Craigleith Perfect conditions for seal count last wk. Not the easiest island to land. From the slopes 46 pups counted (Close to webcam count) The shoreline is steep so it's important not to disturb the colony. They were very chilled! Island is looking amazing! Scottish Seabird Centre
