Time to vote for SXSW 2020 sessions ideas on the panelpicker! What does Paris and Twitter have in common? Hint: it's humans. Often we design the tools we use and the spaces we inhabit in a vacuum. Let's change that. panelpicker.sxsw.com/vote/101208 #sxsw2020 #urbandesign #UX #vote

“I’m not sure individual cities, left to their own devices, are going to solve this... They don’t have the incentive to do so, because local voters are always going to protect their own interests instead of looking out for people who don’t live there yet.” nytimes.com/2020/02/13/bus…

The NSA has no role in domestic law enforcement matters. If these reports are true, they raise serious constitutional concerns and the public deserves answers immediately. Our right to protest depends on it.

A very talented co-worker of mine, @guusbaggermans created a digital experiment in (con)temporary art. This image loses a pixel every time someone loads it: observer-principle.herokuapp.com Let's see how long it lasts!

The next time someone says to you "there are only a few people that benefit from accessibility improvements", show them this - there's a really wide spectrum of people that can benefit from inclusive design if you take a step back and think about it:

So far the best part of Obama's memoir comes 567 pages in, when he's being blamed by Republicans for not fixing BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill fast enough. One of the few moments where it feels like he's speaking unencumbered. And like maybe his editor was partly asleep.

Shutting down ؘ is a shame. Anybody know of a good replacement? @RevolutApp? The product team did such good work but it seems like having a good product can only get you so far in a market that is so mired legacy systems and regulations. theverge.com/2021/1/7/22219…
