Cracking afternoon in Victoria Park. The male was present for much of the time, but there was also a visit from the female. They sat a few metres apart for a short time, before he chased her off. #LondonBirds #nature #wildlife #kingfisher #birds #eastlondon #victoriapark

I first met these amazing marine iguanas 50 yrs ago when I was co-presenting an “Animal Magic” special with Johnny Morris from the #Galapagos Islands for BBC TV. They are unique, the only marine lizard. Diving in cold sea for their food, risky but effective!

#WorldWildlifeDay is a day to reflect on both the good & terrible harm we do to the natural world, the species that are at risk. Whatever good is put in place, our species track record of war, turmoil, individual & corporate greed is so destructive. We must do better
