I realized last night, that as much as I enjoy Robin Hood, I think I find Zorro more personally compelling...maybe it is the double identity or the fact that he's kind of the first batman. 😅

TBH, I didn't love the #HTTYD movies when they came out, but they are really growing on me. The third one (which I put off watching until a few weeks ago) has such a wholesome ending and actually makes the first two better. So rare these days. 🥰

I'm curious... Book Lovers, what would make you most likely to let go of a book (aside from personal objections to content)? #AmReading

I love opening Dickens and finding characters who feel as real as the people around me. Take Bleak House, for example. I bet you have some of these people in your circles: Boythorn- that friend who's always threatening to beat people up for you, but wouldn't hurt a fly.

Today is one of those days I wish I was a poet. My heart is bursting with inexpressible thoughts and emotions, the kind that prose would never do justice.

Tolkien destroying so much of modern media: "The keener and the clearer is the reason, the better fantasy will it make. If men were ever in a state in which they did not want to know or could not perceive truth (facts or evidence), then Fantasy would languish until they were

"Some artists look at the world around them and see chaos, and instead of discovering cosmos, they reproduce chaos, on canvas, in music, in words. As far as I can see, the reproduction of chaos is neither art, nor is it Christian." - Madeleine L'Engle

TBH, my first experience of #Narnia was fast-forwarding through the old BBC version of TLTWTW on a recorded VHS to get to the movie after. It was so mysterious and a bit eerie.

It’s time to pull up a chair around the hearth and join Thomas Salerno, Elisabeth Dawson, and Andrew Snyder as they discuss a range of topics related to Tolkien’s brilliant essay, “On Fairy-stories.” open.spotify.com/episode/0VdYDA…

Told my brother Beth Wangler and my theory that it would have been so much more compelling if Halbrand turned out to be the Witch King of Angmar, and he was like, "EXACTLY!" Anyone else? #RingsofPower
