Jenny Harries just mentioned WIPPET UK Covid-19 Inquiry

🚨Dame Jenny Harries on SARS2 transmission UK Covid-19 Inquiry 6th Nov 2024 Turns out we made it all up No one ever said it wasn’t airborne #COVIDisAirborne

David R Tomlinson 🇺🇦💙 UK Covid-19 Inquiry Give me strength 🙇🏻♀️ So if we follow her argument, & now accept there is more asymptomatic & airborne spread than originally believed… why are we doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in healthcare settings to reduce transmission between patients & staff? Nothing🚨 #COVIDIsAirborne UK Health Security Agency

Jenny Harries, Chief Executive of UK Health Security Agency (successor to PHE), recently testified under oath that she didn’t think anyone ever ruled out airborne transmission of COVID-19. However, a key letter dated March 28, 2020, by PHE, @NHS & AoMRC, clearly states: “COVID-19 is not airborne”

So it comes back round to Cat's thread. I have no idea why the UK Covid-19 Inquiry don't have those minutes and didn't confront those IPC leads when they gave their contradictory testimony. x.com/_CatintheHat/s…

COVID INQUIRY: X Megathread 🧵 As module 3 of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry draws to a close, I’ve been looking back at what we’ve learned about how it all went so wrong with infection control guidance for hospitals. This is a long thread, so please grab a cuppa & make yourself comfy…

Another reason why was IPC guidance for healthcare *never changed back* to airborne following HCID declassification? Imagine being a teacher, or a police officer Would you not want the same? Now, think what that *really means* for HMG re workplace safety Karam Bales

This is a great thread from Cat in the Hat 🐈⬛ 🎩 🇬🇧 dissecting the UK Covid-19 Inquiry evidence around mode of spread of COVID-19 It’s enough to make one weep. Rife with stubbornness, intransigence & worse. Sadly a cause of avoidable harm to patients & staff. Crucially, even now many

Florence Nightingale wouldn’t tolerate unventilated hospitals. MPs honoring her while ignoring ventilation failures is an insult to her legacy, and a threat to public health and lives. If you really want to honor her, Andrew Gwynne MP, then fix the ventilation problems in hospitals!

It was our great pleasure to welcome some of the leading voices from CATA (Covid Airborne Transmission Alliance) to the wall today. We are so grateful for all your work ❤️ Kamini Gadhok MBE Dr Barry Jones David Osborn (and the expert in three-point turns Natalie)
