It’s 11:30am on a ☀️ Sunday in the Powell family household- I’m getting ready for my long run, brother is out doing 90mins of hill reps, Dad is doing a tabata workout in the garden and Mum is in Slovakia at the Middle Distance Triathlon European Championships 😅

It appears that running away my frustrations between A&E shifts may have been the answer to achieving a new Half Marathon PB! 💃🏻

Over the next 7 days I am…moving house, attending goddaughter’s 1st birthday party, completing my pre-worlds training block 🚴🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️, finishing my A&E rota, starting new community job and then finishing it all off with a flight to Aus 🇦🇺 ❤️ changeover week

A&E rota survived ✅ Last mandatory hospital job ✅ GP ST1 ✅ Bring on life working in the community 😀😀 #happychangeoverday

So many pros of moving to work in the community but saying goodbye to scrubs and having to dig out the “work wardrobe” is not one of them 😢

Quick journey to the other side of the world for a bit of run-bike-run fun 🇦🇺 racing 9:55am local time tomorrow 🏃🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ (also how BEAUT is Australia, already scoping out future work places 👀)

First venture into the Hyrox world. Hard, humbling but a hugeee amount of fun! Returning to work < 24hrs later… less fun 😅

Took a step back from triathlon last summer to have a break from structured training… found myself a new sport that I’m totally hooked on and it looks like I’ll be heading off to worlds! 😅😅
