Many years ago I was part of an astrophysics seminar at MIT. I argued for a return to the moon and the creation of a moon base. I was thrilled to hear Elon Musk suggest it tonight. We are on the path to an extraordinary future.

Brady Corbet must be charismatic as hell. Says to producers ‘I want to make a a 3.5 hour epic about a mid-century brutalist architect… and I want to shoot in on 70’. Their response is ‘let’s do it’. Amazing. Can’t wait to see it.

As today is the anniversary of the Battle of Antietam - which the south refers to as Sharpsburg - just an aside. Maybe it was Shelby Foote who said this, but while the north tended to name battles after geographic markers (Antietam Creek, Bull Run), the south opted for towns

Vinegar Syndrome released Looking for Mr. Goodbar in 4k. First high quality video release for that movie. I’ve only seen it on a murky tv rip. It has a great performance by Diane Keaton.
