No Hares or Hounds games last Saturday, so it was down to Tertia and Renegades to go into battle. Tertia hosted Hampton Rangers in the London and Surrey Vets league and went top with a 9-4 victory. Brooke, Stephens 2, Small 2, Hemmings, Zerafa, Scanlan and Payten all on target

Renegades travelled away to Polytechnic to take on the Stroll team and came home with a 5-2 victory. Goals in the game from Luke Webb 2, Damian Talbot, Garry Morgan and Corneil Power. Well done gents!

Every Vets footballer over 50!!!

Apart from a very good 4-3 win for our Renegades team v Economicals, it wasn't a great Saturday at the office for the Royals. Hounds went down 9-0, and Hares lost 6-2. It was made even worse for those of us support Reading FC (guilty) and Manchester United...its a stupid game anyway 😔

Initially we had no games toay. Then Hampton Rangers FC⚽️ asked if we fancied a match & I said I'd see if anyone fancies playing but doubted we'd get enough. As it happens we've ended up with a squad of 20 and could have had more. Going to take some organising but looking forward to this

Hounds and Tertia in action today. Hounds are at home to Hersham Southside. 2pm ko at Tolworth Goals. Tertia are also at home in a London and Surrey Vets top of the table clash against Old Meads. Hares game has been called off and they need just 1 point now to clinch the D1 title

Three games yesterday. Hounds took on top of the league Hersham Southside, where a John Small goal gave us a 1-0 victory. The other two games took part in Portugal. Two travelling teams went to Lisbon Casuals and played an over 40s and over 50s team. 40s lost 5-2 but 50s won 7-3

Extremely exciting and close battle for the 1s, proof of lots to look forward to this season. For the vets, a draw with a Claygate Royals, lots of goal action at either end. The intra-club friendlies were competitive and fun, hope everyone enjoyed it, and the social after! ⚽️👏

Our Tertia team got their league season underway with a 3-3 draw against Old Meadonians FC on Saturday. Great result for us, as Old Meads are not only the defending league champions, they also seemed to be playing 11 goalkeepers!! 😁

Great Result and I got my first assist for the team on my league debut…. Let’s Go Claygate….

This Saturday sees our Hounds team start their pre season with a friendly against BBC Vets at Walton Xcel Centre. We think Hounds manager Jon Harding has been playing too much golf over the summer as kick off is at the slightly weird time of 14.20pm
