Last week, LESC's Pre-Deployment Training Branch delivered Security Awareness For Executives (SAFE) to CBP employees. This training focuses on teaching situational awareness, defensive tactics, preparedness, as well as threat detection to non-law enforcement personnel.

LESC's Less-Lethal Training Branch is teaching counter assault tactics to CBP officers and agents who are here for 3 weeks attending Less-Lethal Instructor Training Program (LLITP) class 2510 and will become certified Less-Lethal Instructors upon graduating.

This week we held a Swearing-In Ceremony and welcomed our newest employees, two of which will be assigned to our Asset Management Branch and another assigned to our Pre-Deployment Training Branch. Congratulations and welcome to the LESC Team!

We recently held a Memorial Run for CBP AMO Marine Interdiction Agent Michel Maceda, who was killed in the line of duty November 17, 2022. The event began at 7:01am EST in honor of when the radio call for assistance was received and was led by Agent Maceda's Academy classmate.
