Hands down early prevents being “too tall” in the blocking position. You can see here wherever his hands go, the middle of his body will follow. May not always block these ones perfectly, but now you have a chance. Posture over the ball > Posture behind the ball #CatchingCult

Never underestimate the P/C relationship. A pitchers ability to keep his catcher comfortable allows him to steal more pitches(no spiked FBs, no 3ft misses). The catchers ability to save bounced BBs and steal strikes gives a pitcher more confidence to let their best stuff rip.
