A great evening yesterday for the Ironbridge Lions Santa at Jule's Convenience Store Hadley. Santa entertained the local children, his elves and supporters were treated to a steady supply of samosas and hot drinks by the irrepressible Julie Kaur. A really lovely community event.

We were delighted to hear that our prostate testing programme has been selected to participate in the Tesco’s Community Grant scheme. Increasing costs have prompted us to search for additional funding sources to supplement the voluntary donations.

The second Silver Over the Bridge event of 2023 will take place on Sunday 30th April in aid of Telford First Responders. Pop along to the iron bridge between 10am and 4pm and help us to raise much needed funds for this great cause.

#2024budget Apparently NI is to be cut by 2%. Does nothing for pensioners. I recall that NI was increased not that long ago to help fund social care. Obviously the government does not like older people.
