Looking forward to hosting a special seminar by Johannes Buchner BuchnerLab: Molecular chaperones – cellular machines of protein folding Wednesday 10/12 11 am - noon Sandler Building auditorium Hope to see you there!
Thanks so much to BuchnerLab lab members Andy and Stefan for making this beautiful hat for me. I think, i will start selling Hsp90 merchandise at the next meeting. 😁
We are excited to share our latest publication in Communications Biology on our IgM scaffold-based antiviral fusion protein. This ACE2-IgM hexamer can neutralize SARS-CoV-2 variants with picomolar affinity. nature.com/articles/s4200…
We are happy to share our latest publication in Communications Biology. We see that a mutation in the constant domain of a light chain can disrupt the protective dimer interface and thus can promote amyloid formation. rdcu.be/c6cFA
Check out our latest publication on ACE inhibitors that stabilize our ACE2-Fc fusion protein targeting SARS-CoV-2. This great collaboration with Sattler Lab shows how labile receptor segments in therapeutics can be stabilized by chemical compounds. rdcu.be/c9rcu
We are very proud of our runners who all completed the 11 km run at the TUM Campus run in under 1 hour TU München
Next up was Johannes Buchner BuchnerLab who reminded us of the essential roles of chaperones in regulating protein stability. Proteins are only marginally stable and molecular chaperones are key to modulating transitions between unfolded and native states. (5/n)
