Kudos to Alex Anthopoulos for the calculated gamble he when he DFA'd Martin Perez last weekened. The move allowed him to fill the roster spot w/ a couple AAA arms that helped a taxed bullpen for a few days. Anthopoulos hoped the $3.5M price would deter teams from claiming Perez

There was a deadspin video in April 2014 of Dan Uggla hitting a mammoth home run against the Phillies that just captured the most amazing Philly fan reactions you’ll ever see dubbed over music. Still looking for the video, but tonight reminded me of that game.

Only positive from last two years is that winning now is that much more fun. It’s not taken for granted, it’s not magically expected. It’s freed us from expectations to just enjoy the ride.
