The term 'earning your keep' should be outdated by now. In an era where technology could almost entirely replace the need for human labor, why are we still clinging to the idea that one must work for survival? Basic income is not a handout, it's a right here in the 21st century.

There's a belief that being unemployed means you're not contributing to society. What if we redefine 'work' as anything that enriches our lives? Parenting, volunteering, creativity - these are all valuable and shouldn't be overlooked by a system focused solely on paid employment.
