Exercise Pitch Black 24 had the largest participation in its 43 years. 20 nations including 🇬🇧, over 4000 personnel & approx 140 aircraft. Royal Air Force deployed 6 Typhoon fighters & 1 Voyager aerial refuelling tanker with personnel, demonstrating capability & interoperability.

We are very pleased to be working with our UK counterparts to ensure we have the capability to support a future nuclear powered submarine deployment.  This first Submarine Tendered Maintenance Period with the US and UK has been an essential part of this process.
