Signs you're "busy" and not productive. - You're default busy. - You have notifications enabled on your phone and computer. - You check every email that comes in. - You use your inbox as a to-do list. - You don't plan your day in advance.

Emotions alone don't determine our well-being. How we view them matters. Evidence: people who judge unpleasant emotions negatively have poorer well-being than those who accept them as part of life. A key to resilience is recognizing that what feels bad isn’t always bad for us.

"Don't argue with the boss" is not a demand for respect. It's a sign of a fragile ego. Insecure leaders silence dissent to shield their self-esteem and save face. Secure leaders welcome critiques to improve their judgment. Being open to challenges is a prerequisite for growth.

A key to lifelong learning is being as eager to hear "you're wrong" as "you're right." Small minds crave validation. They surround themselves with people who share their convictions. Great minds prize discovery. They gravitate toward people who stretch their thinking.

You work so hard. You push. You believe when others don’t. You work weird hours. You try to take care of so many. You have dreams. So plan for the long haul. Don’t burnout. Get some rest this weekend. Don’t get so tired you become someone who treats others bad or you lose heart.
