What does one do with that post thesis submission-MSc completion-nothing to study anymore-existential crisis? I think I’m going to resort to baking muffins and cookies from now till infinity. Help.

I think my body has its own ‘Pomodoro study technique’ 😒 in the form of annoyingly regular bathroom breaks. I guess this might be a sign for me to stop drinking so much tea. Oh well. Off to make another cuppa. #TeaTime

It's weird how in Ontario, you're expected to be vaccinated against COVID to go to brunch but not to take care of vulnerable patients. The policy choice to make pancakes more important than patients makes no sense.

Omicron Twitter is wild this weekend. It’s amazing how much people have to say, when so little is known about the variant as yet!

On an INDIVIDUAL basis, Omicron may be roughly as severe as influenza & much less for those up to date on vaccinations. But on a SOCIETAL basis because the number of infections is so high in such a short time, the risk of overwhelmed health care is much higher. Vax. Boost. Mask.

So let me get this straight: Ontario is already planning to lift restrictions on bars, restaurants, gyms and cinemas…but has no plan to lift restrictions on elders in LTC who are confined to their rooms or scheduled life-saving surgeries?

Choosing businesses over resuming surgeries is very on brand for Ontario, who has chosen malls over schools in the past.
