Thanks for having me back Reigate Grammar School to talk to the Upper Sixth about first aid, calling an ambulance, save driving, and medical/first aid support as they head off to university. #firstaid #EducationCannotWait SJA South East - Community Response Operations St John Ambulance England SJA Surrey District
Completed my South East Coast Ambulance pin course last night - another step in the right direction to get St John Ambulance England crews out in our local area. Thanks to Harvey Lawrence Billy Brown and Cameron Pye to name a few who have put in some mega effort to get us to this stage.
Tonight I am delivering a presentation on my learning and development from the #majorincident training that I’ve attended through St John Ambulance England. This is to the SJA University of Southampton unit and first aid society for their learning around how St John applies JESIP principles.
Great Isle of Wight Ambulance Service & St John Ambulance England shift today to conclude 2023 for me. I’ll be off the road over the Christmas break. Thanks to Isle of Wight NHS Trust for looking after us today and this year. Great to chat to some of the team on station about all things island. Merry Christmas!
Interesting experience on the ‘customer’ side of Roads Policing - Surrey Police - UK drink drive campaign. Really effectively testing all drivers passing along a given road. Well done Surrey Police - great example of proactive policing to tackle a serious national issue. (I should add, I blew zero)
Duty is spending your spare time saving lives. Mark Bannister is a full-time Royal Naval Reserve who found his sense of duty in putting his spare time at the service of his local community. He volunteers for South Central Ambulance Service, South Western Ambulance Service, and the RNLI. Watch 'Saving Lives'. #ACelebrationOfDuty
Spent the day today with Matt, one of the St John Ambulance ¦ Hampshire & Isle of Wight local ambulance leads mentoring a trainee EAC working on behalf of Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. Good day all round involving plenty of leaning opportunities for everyone.
Today we take time to pause, reflect, celebrate, and remember Paul, who was a valued colleague, and friend to so many St John Ambulance England people. 💚💚
My #ViewFromTheOffice today as Alex Cox and I are out with tEAC, Molly supporting South East Coast Ambulance in the Guildford Area! St John Ambulance’s Operations Team #StJohnPeople
Great to see one of our St John Ambulance England crews in the background who joined this incident on behalf of and alongside Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. Exemplifying how St John can slot into a multi-agency response seamlessly and provide excellent patient care. JESIP St John Ambulance ¦ Hampshire & Isle of Wight Isle of Wight NHS Trust
It’s a double DAL day! Sharing the cab today with Billy Brown. Together we are representing the South East Ambulance leadership team at this huge event.
Today the new Surrey County President, Dr Julie Llewelyn St John Ambulance England at the East Surrey Fellowship Meeting, presented HM The King’s Coronation Medals to volunteers who were on duty that day including Andrew Clark and me!! Enjoyed by all!! #ProFide #ProUtilitateHominum
Thank you both. Our partnership with Isle of Wight NHS Trust Isle of Wight Ambulance Service is second to none for acceptance of volunteers and productive lines of communication between agencies. I can only hope that this workstream keeps growing with NHS England. Dan Bevis St John Ambulance England St John Ambulance ¦ Hampshire & Isle of Wight
Lovely surprise to come home to a letter from Alexander Thompson informing me that I am soon to be the recipient of a St John Ambulance England accountability award. No idea who nominated me but thank you to them & to my wonderful team of Local Ambulance Leads and crews in St John Ambulance ¦ Hampshire & Isle of Wight
My view from the office today! Out on another Isle of Wight Ambulance Service shift - today mentoring one of our trainee EACs and doing a clinical observation for one of my brilliant Local Ambulance Leads. Mixed weather so far and no ice cream yet… but we’re only half way. NHS England Isle of Wight NHS Trust
Alex Cox and I are out crewing for St John Ambulance England supporting South East Coast Ambulance today on a twilight shift. #StJohnPeople #OneTeam #MySJADay SJA Surrey District
