Chronic illness fatigue isn’t sleepiness—it’s paralysis almost. Your mind is ready but your body feels like it’s made of bricks. It’s not about motivation or mindset. It’s a physical shutdown that you can’t push through, no matter how badly you want to.

Being disabled (and/or an unpaid carer) is MORE than a full-time job. It’s 24/7/365. No breaks. No holidays. No sick pay. No support. No adjustments.

As we head into this long weekend, don’t forget that our volunteers are here to listen, anytime you need. If life feels tough right now, remember you’re not alone 💚

Approximately 1/3 of all wheelchair users are ambulatory. This means, 1/3 of us are able to move or walk to some extent. It DOES NOT mean we are 'fake disabled' or not 'genuinely disabled'. Reminder: you can't SEE health/pain/fatigue. Both are me, still disabled.
