As of 8pm tonight, the Currowan Fire burning in the Shoalhaven has been set to out. The fire burned for 74 days, burnt out 499,621 hectares and spans from each end of the Shoalhaven. 312 homes were destroyed and 173 damaged. 1,889 homes saved by firefighters. #NSWRFS #nswfires

We are in the midst of a crisis. Financial advisers and their clients deserve certainty. The Senate can provide this, please pass the Bill to provide the FASEA extensions ASAP.

The #FASEA extension Bill has PASSED! #promisekept Under the new arrangements, affected finacial advisers must: ➡️ Complete the FASEA-approved exam by 1 January 2022 (one additional year); & ➡️ Meet FASEA's qualification requirements by 1 January 2026 (two additional years).

The AFA has played an active role, along with other industry bodies, both in the initial advocacy for these deadline extensions, and the difficult task of ensuring these changes become Law. Thank you to those members who actively contacted their Local Members! Jane Hume
