Nothing new from a brief visit to Mersea and Fingringhoe this morning. Easterly winds over night and into tomorrow could be interesting though.

After the mist lifted, it was a lovely morning at Languard today. Lots about including several Wheatear, Whinchat, skulking Warblers and a ringed juv Sandwich Tern (reported). Great to meet Les Cater too!

News received already regarding the Sandwich Tern I reported earlier. ‘368’ was ringed as a chick on 04/07/24 at RSPB Langstone Harbour in Hampshire. Mine is the first report received. Nice RSPB

A few shots from the pop up event organised by EBwS Bird News and Bird Aware Essex Coast this week. Med gulls, Rock Pipit, Turnstones, and a Shag at the end of Southend Pier was an unexpected treat! 😀
