Started my morning with Times Higher Education facilitating a “Ranking Masterclass” with heads of universities in 🇸🇱, TEC and Ministry of Technical and Higher Education. The session focused on developing comprehensive data collection frameworks to improve performance tracking & enhance national & global positioning
Following the China-Africa UNESCO 🏛️ #Education #Sciences #Culture 🇺🇳 High-Level Dialogue on Cooperation in Education and Cultural Heritage Protection, I met with Wang Qing王擎 today, to explore further opportunities to enhance the Sierra Leone-China friendship and cooperation in education.
It’s thrilling to see Austin Demby receive new fleets including 23 vehicles, 16 ambulances and 78 motorcycles from The Global Fund World Bank & World Health Organization (WHO). These donations will hugely boost emergency prevention, preparedness & response as well as improve health service delivery.
Over the past few months, Ministry of Technical and Higher Education, with the support of UNDP in Sierra Leone, has upskilled young people from the informal sector in Freetown & Kenema. This initiative, aligned with President Julius Maada Bio’s HCD agenda, culminated in certification for these youth over the last two days.
