Reminder, if you send a homebound pt out of the hospital w/ referrals for outpt follow up visits, they likely won’t get done. It feels good to ✅ boxes… but they aren’t really ✅

I’m convinced the reason insurances cover liver transplant is because it’s cheaper than recurrent admissions for HE and varieal hemorrhage.
Shreya P. Trivedi MD, MHPE A lot! What diabetes medications I can use is often insurance-dependent, or Medicare coverage gap is huge barrier. Medications like SGLT2 inhibitors decrease heart failure hospitalizations but often not affordable in Medicare. Though hopefully better this year as they negotiate
