Discussing development of the energy sector in KRI, potential opportunities for utilizing clean and renewable energy sources. Emphasized the importance of resuming oil exports.

In my exchange with SRSG Jeanine Hennis, I explained that our position on holding parliamentary elections remains clear and unchanged.
Further delay in elections will cause irreparable damage to the Kurdistan Region and further weaken our institutions.
Pleased to welcome Under Secretary Uzra Zeya to Erbil. We agreed on continued cooperation to uphold shared principles of human rights, democracy, and freedom of expression in the KRI.
We reviewed conditions in Sinjar and the need for the full implementation of the Sinjar Agreement.
