the plan is to arrest everyone on the streets and then pay private prisons ten times what it would cost to house them.

Housing 4 All is Hot(@ahouse4all) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The housing market: $2000 for a roach infested studio. Have to make 3x the rent to get in. 1st and last deposit. 10%+ increases in rent every year. Eviction record blacklists you for life. No pets.

Gov.: There are only homeless people because of mental illness and drugs. 🥺

Y’all gotta unpack why y’all think all Black women have damaged and/or short hair.

Beyoncé grew up in a hair salon, is rich, has the best resources, and has a personal hairstylist. Why would she have damaged hair? 😂

Given how quickly and gleefully our government will fund genocide, it should piss everyone off how slow they move to do literally anything else.

I think we can now retire the conversation about the “correct” way to protest because no form of protest is ever going to be appropriate for those in power. The goalposts move, time and time again.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait one damn minute. Why is Cornell University investing in Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin?! Why the fuck are universities investing in weapons manufacturing companies? We need to have that conversation. The levels of depravity is insidious.

Let me break this down for you:

The Supreme Court is weighing criminalizing homelessness—that means if you’re sleeping outside, you will be arrested.

Approx. 40% of homeless people in the U.S. are Black.

This is not just about housing—this is the prison industrial complex too.

John Oliver on Gaza protests: “Protest is meant to be disruptive…34,000 people have been killed, most of them women & children…the US continues to supply Israel funding & arms for all of this, even as Gaza sinks into famine. If that’s not worth protesting, I’m not sure what is”

I honestly had no clue so many universities and institutions were investing in weapons manufacturing companies. I find it abhorrent how deep the rot is. I recently found out about the Girl Scouts as well. It’s as if it’s one big octopus and the tentacles are everywhere.

It’s crazy watching American college students put their knowledge from active school shooter drills to use to barricade themselves from the police.

Mind you the whole reason why credit scores were invented in 1989 was because banks were no longer allowed to discriminate against black folks tryna get housing loans. So they created a system to discriminate for them under the guise of numbers & policies.

I met Denzel Washington today while he was sitting in a train station (probably on a break from filming) and while I stared and gawked at him he asked if I was gonna stand there being pretty or come take a picture… naturally I took that to mean he called me pretty!

Can’t pay teachers, can’t house the homeless, can’t provide healthcare, can’t invest in useful infrastructure of any kind, can’t can’t can’t but:

Some of you think poverty is a choice, that homelessness is a choice, and I promise it's because you haven't considered how our system perpetuates poverty. How once you're homeless, there are very few support mechanisms to help people get out of that situation.
