When admin stops everything to sell items at your class mall, it matters. It’s the little things that make a huge impact. The kids thought it was the perfect way to end the school year!

The best way to end the school year is to end with a great team! We don’t have to collaborate or work together, we choose too! I am grateful for that. I am stronger and better because of the community I am part of.

Saying good bye to a student is especially hard right now. I am so proud of her and her classmates. A computer screen hasn’t stopped them from making strong connections. They tutor each other, create book clubs, give advice, and build each other up. It’s all I can really ask for.

Today I was referred to as Teacher-Mother Nature. My students were very creative in their attire. We worked hard and had fun along the way. They didn’t want to leave at the end.

I had an intense conversation with a colleague about grading. I don’t give 0s or penalize late work, and I give 2nd chances. Their argument was it is not fair to other students who turn their work in on time, and I am not preparing them for the workforce. I need backup. Anybody??

I just found myself doing some practical mental arithmetic. My family and I walked 1.5 miles in 36 minutes, so I wondered what our 'minutes per mile' rate was.
