There are 200,000 mortgage prisoners in the UK. Interest rate rises mean most are now paying rates of 8-12%, but can't switch to cheaper products. In 2021 we raised this with Financial Conduct Authority and Financial Ombudsman Service, yet to this day no action has been taken to help blameless consumers.
