In Journalism, facts determine narrative. Anything that can happen must be a possible story. In Activism, narratives determine presentation of facts. Anything exactly counter-narrative must be made to unhappen. It is only the counter-narrative facts that reveal this difference.

To be 100% clear, even if Twitter is shadow banning, I wouldn’t want the government to get involved. Much like YouTube demonetization, we can all voice our opinion and hopefully things get better. YouTube seemingly has. Pressure and competition are the answer, not government.

If people believe comforting lies over disturbing truths, why do conspiracy theorists believe disturbing lies? Because the idea of sinister elites controlling everything, whilst scary, is still more comforting than the truth: that no one is in control and everyone is an idiot.

I like having my phone on 'do not disturb' mode because of this setting! I know that if it's something urgent, it will ring ;) and after a while i realised that there are not so many urgent daily calls for me :))

It's become commonplace to poke fun at the silly hypocrisy of media and Big Tech 'fact checkers.' The situation is actually far more dire than people realize. Here's my own experience. /1

I have a dream. Politicians should stop going on TV and just do their jobs. Journalists should stop offering their opinion and just report the facts.

The big platforms have two problems: A) The health of the filter bubbles in which we use their service. B) The health of the content we exchange. As I’ve warned, expect to see measures designed to protect the filter bubbles in A), portrayed as if they addressed abuse in B).
