There’s a lot to say about our city’s hotel program, but besides low #s compared to need, one additional major disappointment—nearly none of the major hotels—Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, the W—stepped up. Most are shuttered, empty for months, while many 1000s sleep on sidewalks.

I respectfully disagree. Two decades ago the people amended the charter to make commissioners independent from the Mayor. Last Nov, the people rejected an attempt to take away that independence. I will continue to serve with integrity and independence until my last day on 1/2
