Life affirming day, reminding me that there are awesome people, doing awesome things!👇 Hayley Lever & Eve Holt graciously took time to show me Manchester, what an epic place! Something very special is happening there. It really is the epicentre of Place Based Working!

I was privileged to be invited to Wrexham AFC to be involved in their #PlaceBased work. Wrexham is like many places I know & love, it’s been through the wringer, but let me tell you, something very, very special is building there. Honoured to bring my knowledge to the place!

Annual reminder to educators as we head back to school. Your job is not to produce the 1% of elite performers, rather it’s to instill a love, joy & habits that will allow ALL young people to experience the power of sport, play & movement today, tomorrow, and rest of their lives.

Day 1 #5KADAY ☑️ "If you wait for perfect conditions, you'll never get anything done" I started this challenge back in 2015 & done it every year since. I’ve spent the day convincing myself I wasn’t ready. I talk about “creating the conditions” but main thing is “just start”

Day 2 #5KADAY ☑️ “We are the one’s we’ve been waiting for” We can’t expect to wait for someone to come and save the day, to change things, we need to be the change, essentially, change starts with us. When you have a clear goal to work toward, clarity & action follow. Onward.

Day 3 #5KADAY ☑️ “Running on empty, with a heart so Full” Power of Gratitude I’ve had little sleep, but I’ve got to spend time with people I love. I’m exhausted & want to rest, but I have the gift to run. Deploy gratitude to others & also yourself, it’s a powerful motivator.

Day 4 #5KADAY ☑️ “All for one, One for All” Running can be a solo venture, like a lot of things in life, we tend to spend a lot of time with ourselves. But we’re never truly alone, we’re connected to other people out there, running, commiting to moving, challenging themselves.

Day 5 #5KADAY ☑️ Smile says it all really.
