I wanted to share some of my thoughts on today's Supreme Court decision on affirmative action:

This is Lancaster, California. A Los Angeles county sheriffs deputy throws a Black woman to the ground and brutalized her for filming them arresting her husband. Filming the police is not illegal. This is brutality. Arrest this pig.

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Except it doesn’t bend on its own—it bends because we pull it in the direction of justice. What keeps me hopeful during times like these is being surrounded by people who are doing just that.

President Trump and Congressional Republicans just shut down the government because they refused to stop your health care costs from rising. Let me be clear: Republicans are in charge of the White House, House, and Senate. This is their shutdown.
