This is the result of years of dedicated policy and campaigns work from the brilliant team National Autistic Society. I am honoured to have been there at the beginning of the journey to ensure autistic ppl were even given their own category in the ONS Labour Force Survey.

Today is a good day: I connected a printer myself (and then it worked), I embedded a video into a PowerPoint presentation for the first time ever with no help and, best of all - my other half is getting the vaccine today. I could cry with relief.

If you’re a policy person trying consult a room of 20+ young people on a pretty chunky and technical piece of local gov strategy, I cannot stress enough that rattling through a bunch of slides the same way you would with a room full of other policy professionals is not the one.

Linking cuts to non work related benefits like PIP to 'incentivising disabled ppl to work' is misleading and ridiculous. PIP exists because it's more expensive to live as a disabled person. That's why its not means tested. Disabled ppl have higher living costs. Disgraceful cuts
