It’s honorable mention for Anna Cockhill. She’s batted leadoff and played shortstop every game this season, going strong since February, the team’s second-leading hitter and owner of 27 stolen bases, the most by a Grizzly in a season in program history. Congratulations, Anna!

Cockhill opened her collegiate career back on Feb. 7 against Colgate with a single to left in her first at-bat as a Grizzly. In her last at-bat of the season she singles again. Quite a season for the freshman.

Freshman Anna Cockhill set a Montana Griz SB school record with 27 stolen bases in 2025. Her total led the Big Sky Conference and ranked 39th nationally (6th among freshmen) #GoGriz

Montana wraps up the weekend with a 13-5 win over MSU Billings. Cockhill, Bekofsky and Gugino all go deep. Elias (4.0) and Sweet (3.0) handle the pitching duties.

Montana falls behind 4-0 in Game 2, scores 19 unanswered runs to win 19-4. Cockhill, Barney and Puttler hit home runs, three Griz pitchers limit North Idaho to four hits.
